Congratulations to Maggie Webster for being elected by her fellow Gusties to be the female student-athlete of the month for the month of February!
Maggie is on the swimming and diving team. She is from Apple Valley, Minnesota and her parents are Michele and Matthew Jamieson. She is also a Nursing major here at Gustavus (’19).
At her swim meet, Maggie was able to surpass her two competitors in order to go from third to first place and win the gold medal. It takes lots of self-motivation to do what Maggie was able to do, making her an extraordinary Gustie.
Winning first place has given her the opportunity to participate in the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championship in Greensboro, NC coming March 20th – 23rd. Remember to show support and encouragement to our fellow Gustie, she has worked hard for it!
