The Minnesota Consortium for Nursing Education Research (MCNER) is a consortium of nursing faculty from Bethel University, Gustavus Adolphus College, St. Catherine’s University, and St. Olaf College.  These nursing faculty are engaged in research focused on teaching and learning strategies in nursing education.

Heidi Meyer and Lynnea Myers, faculty from Gustavus, are currently involved with a MCNER multi-site research pilot study that is examining the effects of debriefing in simulation on clinical reasoning skills.  MCNER has received a 2012 Debra Spunt Mini-Grant from the International Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning (INACSL) for this project.  They have also received a Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI) Chi-at-Large Chapter grant to assist with continuation of this research endeavor.
