Nick Elder ’18 receives 2nd place at GAC Entrepreneur Cup Contest

On May 12th in the Beck Hall Atrium current Gustavus students battled it out with the business pitches, for a $5,000 first prize and guaranteed spot in the Minnesota Cup in the fall, in the 4th annual Gustavus Entrepreneurs Cup. Similar to a shark tank style pitch, the environment was intense and heart pumping while 7 teams and individuals pitched their businesses and business ideas to the judging panel of Gustavus Alumni, including President Becky Bergman. When the votes were tallied, and the judging was done, Nick Elder took second place and $3,000 prize with his business “Block Capital Insider.” Nick’s business helps educate individuals and small investment/advisory firms on how to identify and investing in the emerging digital asset class. You can find more information at blockcapitalinsider.com. Nick’s second place finish at the Gustavus Cup is the first time a Gustavus Nursing student has placed in the cup. Awesome job Nick!!
