Lynnea Myers was selected to attend the National Institute of Nursing Research Summer Genetics Institute at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD June 1-29, 2016. The Institute was designed to train nurses in the use of genetics in nursing research. Lynnea will be using the information learned in the Institute to further explore the relationship between genetics and the presence of neurodevelopmental delays and dysmorphology. During the Institute, Lynnea attended lectures given by leaders in the field of genetics research and participated in laboratory sessions related to genetics.
