Katie Kemp, senior nursing student, was selected for an internship at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm. Her internship was supported by the Wallenberg Foundation at Gustavus. Katie spent January working with Lynnea Myers on a four year research project at Karolinska. Lynnea created this opportunity for Katie and had it approved by Karolinska. This was the first Gustavus nursing student- Karolinska internship. Lynnea reports that Karolinska was impressed with Katie’s work and hopes to see more Gustavus students in internships at Karolinska in the future.
