The Nursing Department’s Distinguished Alumni Award was established in 2008 to honor graduates who have made significant contributions to nursing. The Class of 1960 has been awarded the 2009 recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Award. The Class of 1960 was invited to attend the annual Pinning Ceremony for the senior nursing students where they were honored with a plaque and invited to share their stories with the students. Rebecca Pyle (’76) was the 2009 recipient, while Carolyn Kruger (’64) was the 2008 award winner.
