Social-Emotional Development Webinar

Lynnea Myers presented a webinar on March 13 to over 350 participants through the Working Family Resource Center in partnership with the Minnesota Department of Education. The webinar was titled “Social-Emotional Development in the Earliest Years.” The recorded webinar is available here.

Nursing Students in Barrow

Two students (Alexa Potts and Cristian Raether) traveled to Fairbanks and Barrow, Alaska for 6 weeks for a maternal health and community health rotation. Students were able to participate in experiences in hospital and community settings, as well as fly to remote villages in Alaska to assist in community health nursing care.

GAC’s Ribbel to Volunteer with Hurricane Sandy Relief Efforts

Gustavus Senior Nursing Major, Jeannie Ribbel, will be volunteering with the American Red Cross Hurricane Sandy Relief Efforts on December 26th– January 10th.  She will be traveling with her sister, Kay Ribbel, a nurse at Immanuel St. Joseph’s-Mayo Health System.
